MEET SPANKY
ROBERT CARLETON III
Robert Carleton was nicknamed "Spanky" on the T-ball field in Union at the age of 6. Dressed in full baseball uniform, short and pudgy, he bore a striking resemblance to Spanky, the main character on The Little Rascals TV show. The nickname stuck and Robert became known as "Spanky." Spanky's was the obvious name for the convenience store chain Robert started in 1995 and operated until 2007. With locations in Union, Decatur, Newton, and Louisville, Spanky's was well known for its clean facilities, friendly service, and delicious food. Now, after taking time for other business ventures, Spanky is back!
"We are excited to create a unique restaurant experience in Union. With Godfather's Pizza and Spanky's Diner, we will have restaurant quality dining for the entire family. Our goals are the same as before, and now we want to create a "community" where our friends can meet to enjoy great food and entertainment."
